The Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery in Lisle have supported Sisters from the Imiliwaha Convent in Tanzania since 2003. S. Afra, S. Dr. Beatrice, and S. Fausta have been provided with room, board and clothing, school fees, occasional airplane tickets to/from Tanzania and many incidentals.

Benedictine University has provided free tuition for undergraduate and graduate studies in Education and Science. They have also contributed by setting up student-learning opportunities in Tanzania and hosting campus events that support the work of FOI.

Benet Academy continues to involve students in activities supporting FOI projects. Their Junior FOI Board sponsors events and fundraising projects, meeting regularly with the Imiliwaha Sisters studying at BenU as well as connecting online with the Sisters in Tanzania.

Board members solicit donations and grants to support the work of the Sisters of Imiliwaha, focused on educational ministries of Sisters Afra and Fausta, and the medical ministry of Sister-Doctor Beatrice, including the new surgical center in Imiliwaha. Board members contribute as they are able to the work of FOI. Individual Board members have paid out of pocket expenses for all three Sisters while they were in the US and have hosted fundraising events to support their work.

An ongoing need - air travel mileage for Sisters Afra, Beatrice and Fausta (airline points welcomed!). They need to visit the U.S. on occasion to fundraise and meet with potential new donors.
