Thanks for your interest in Friends of Imiliwaha!

Beatrice glasses2afra flowersWe invite you to explore our website and to consider ways to become involved in this inspiring mission in Imiliwaha, a village in rural Tanzania, where our friends, Sisters Afra (L), Beatrice (R), and Fausta (R2) and their religious community, the Benedictine Sisters of St. Gertrude, have worked so hard to improve the quality of life for villagers.

Since FOI's beginning days, our efforts have expanded to Sumbawanga, a city in the western part of Tanzania, where S Afra is leading the efforts to build and operate an elementary school. S Fausta will be running a school near Dar Es Salaam.
